Ugandan Students Depart for World Secondary Schools Championships in Bahrain

In a display of enthusiasm and pride, students from five Ugandan schools departed today for Bahrain, where they will represent the country at this year’s World Secondary Schools Championships. The schools competing in this prestigious event are Seroma Christian High School, Mbogo College School, Mbogo Mixed Secondary School, and Rubaga Girls’ Secondary School.

The send-off event, held at Entebbe International Airport, was filled with cheers from family, friends, and educators, all eager to support the students as they embark on this exciting journey. Each school has prepared rigorously, showcasing their talents and determination to make Uganda proud on the global stage.

“This is an incredible opportunity for our students to not only compete but also to learn and grow from their experiences,” said the headmaster of Seroma Christian High School. “We believe they will represent Uganda with excellence and sportsmanship.”

The World Secondary Schools Championships, known for bringing together young athletes and scholars from around the world, aims to foster international friendship and cultural exchange. The Ugandan teams are ready to face a diverse group of competitors in various disciplines, showcasing their skills and dedication.

As the students boarded their flight, they expressed excitement and a commitment to give their best performances. “We’ve trained hard for this moment,” said a student representative from Mbogo College School. “We’re going to give it our all and make our country proud!”

The Ugandan delegation is set to arrive in Bahrain tomorrow, where they will participate in events over the course of the week. With the hopes of the nation resting on their shoulders, these young athletes and scholars are prepared to represent Uganda with honor and pride.

The students of the schools that will represent Uganda in the World Secondary Schools Championships left today for Bahrain where this year’s competition is being held.
