The territorial Police in Masaka with the help of police sniffer dog has one suspect in custody over the murder of Matovu Bashir, a 22 year old resident of Kanyogoga village, Kimanya-Kabonera division in Masaka city.
The Police received report of alleged murder when the police dog “Gringo” was introduced at the scene, picked the human scent of the suspect, tracked for around one kilometer and led our officers to the nearby rentals where the dog zeroed on one Miiro.
Police in Masaka, with the help of a police sniffer dog, arrested a murder suspect.
The suspect, identified only as Miiro, was tracked and apprehended by police dog “Gringo” from the K9 unit.


He is accused of murdering Matovu Bashir, a 22-year-old resident of Kanyogoga village in Masaka’s Kimanya-Kabonera division.
The suspect is currently being held at Kirimya Police Station pending further investigations before being taken to court.
