Former U.S. President Barack Obama took to social media to urge voters to support Democratic candidates ahead of Election Day, which is just two weeks away.
In a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Obama announced that he would be traveling to Wisconsin, where early voting has already begun, to campaign for Vice President Kamala Harris, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, and other Democrats on the ballot.
“I’m heading to Wisconsin, where early voting just started, to talk about why we have to vote for KamalaHarris, Tim_Walz, and Democrats up and down the ballot,” Obama wrote, encouraging voters to make a plan to cast their ballots early. He included a link to the voter registration website, to help Americans prepare for the election.
Obama’s message comes as Democrats look to solidify their support in key battleground states like Wisconsin, where voter turnout could determine the outcome of crucial races. His visit to the state highlights the party’s focus on mobilising voters early, particularly as political tensions rise ahead of the midterms.
