Scoring an Aggregate 8 in 8 subjects at the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) is the highest level of academic achievement a student can attain. It is a testament to the dedication, hard work, and effort that the student has put into their studies and is a cause for celebration.
However, it’s important to note that the education system in Uganda, like many others, tends to focus on ranking schools and creating competition between them, rather than focusing on providing students with practical skills. As a result, some schools may prioritize high grades over providing a well-rounded education.
Despite this, it’s still worth acknowledging and congratulating students who have achieved an Aggregate 8 in 8 subjects. Out of the over 340,000 UCE candidates in 2022, approximately 200 students achieved this distinction, which is a decrease compared to the previous year.
We have limited the list of schools that had students with an Aggregate 8 in 8 subjects to 30 out of 89.
