Saturday Night Live is officially back, albeit slightly later than scheduled: Season 49 of the long-running comedy behemoth was due to kick off back in May, but was delayed due to the now-resolved WGA strike. The latest run now starts tonight, with a familiar face taking on hosting duty.
Former full-time cast member Pete Davidson, who departed the show at the end of its 47th season, will be the guest host for the season premiere, while hip hop star of the moment Ice Spice will be this season’s first musical guest.
Repertory performers Kenan Thompson, Bowen Yang, Heidi Gardner, Chloe Fineman and Mikey Day are all back, as are James Austin Johnson and Sarah Sherman, who have been promoted to full-time cast. Chloe Troast also joins as a new featured player.
How to watch SNL Season 49
