According to Semewo, the suspects were jointly arrested after they went to make a report at Butebo central police station about an “unknown person’s murder”.
He says, police detained them before visiting the crime scene, for detectives saw a sign of crime guilt in them.
“Our preliminary investigations indicate that, the suspects had earlier on Wednesday escorted the deceased to Nasuleta trading center, where they always socialize in the evening”.
Semeo said that from the scene, police recovered a metallic pipe stained with blood and pieces of broken bricks.
He explains that before the murder of Kambuyine, (the deceased), he was allegedly accused of being responsible for the death of three people who were relatives of the suspects.
Alice Webuya, a relative of the deceased says the suspects came at midday on Wednesday to the deceased’s home and asked him to take up some work to the trading centre, were Kambuyine met his death.
According to police, most of the cases reported in Bukedi North region are of murder and suicide related issues.
